Many thanks for all those supporting the HOTI campaign in the fight against proposals to build a giant waste burning incinerator at Saltend.

The proposals were voted through by both East Riding and Hull County Councils.

East Riding voted 8-5 in favour of the plans and Hull City Council 7-5 in favour.

A series of conditions have been attached to the application, which will be available on the Councils’ websites. HOTI is determined to make sure all these planning conditions are met, but we are continuing our fight and are currently lobbying the Environment Agency, who have yet to grant WRG a permit to operate the site.
